Obama should start using a simple attack line.
I just had it with the McCain Campaign and a non-responsiveness or counter-attack from the Obama side. But I believe that the silence of the Obama camp created a void that must be filled, an opportunity that must be capitalized on.
Several things happening now heightened my fear that Obama is not being diligent about wining this election. He could still lose if he doesn’t change some tactics.
It seems that the past weeks did portray John McCain as a serial liar. The list is long but I’ll try to list some of the areas that jumped at me.
BO should avoid this trap of "more talks" by the MSM. He should stop criticizing US government for Iranian intransigence.
This "shifting to the center" meme is a right-wing smear to define BO as a flip-flopper. Barack Obama has always held these positions. Check the records; Read Audacity of Hope; Please check your issues. BO did not shift to the center as many right-wing pundits are claiming.
And the Press "MSM" bought into the right-wing smear wholesale; Even Arianna Huffungiton was repeating it on the networks.
Did anyone review McCain’s latest Economic plan and its fantasies including how he plans to balance the budget in four years using "Victory gains" from deficit financing of Iraq and Afghanistan wars?
U.S. Military is now poised for a 2 weeks surgical strikes inside Iran. The American public and the Obama campaign better be ready because with the pending bill on Iranian Naval Blockade in the congress, engagement is now inevitable. And it’ll occur at the earliest September 5 and no later than October 13, 2008.
The Politico had this story on how Obama was on the wrong side of the Elian Gonzalez saga. They detailed how this singular issue could impact the outcome of Florida in November. Here is the link to the story: http://www.politico.com/...
Everyone seems to forget that John McCain opted into the Federal financing for the primary, and opted out once he won the nomination without the consent of the FEC.
If Barack Obama has accepted Federal funding with John McCain in June and McCain decided late in September to opt out, would we expect BO to opt out too?
John McCain has shown a tendency ignore rules and opt in and out of Federal funding without regard to the law. We do not expect McCain to abide by any FEC rule since he is currently in default of one and nothing has been done about it.
Opting out was best for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party in this case.
Bill Clinton Made $6 Million from foreign sources and $2.6 Million from Ron Burkle's Yucaipa in 2006 alone.
Obama speech this morning was the best I've seen in ages. It may be that I was taken by it because I'm an economist. Anyway read it below and judge for yourself.
Full speech available after the jump:
I've posted this diary on MyDD for the Clintons' supporters to tear apart.
I just read this news that said "Clinton calls for $30 billion housing fund"
http://www.reuters.com/...
Ben Smith at the Politico had this "Obama backer revives Clinton sex scandals" article that I found interesting. On update, it said that the Obama backer has agreed to resign from his leadership post.
The question that crossed my mind is why Obama is firing his surrogates who are just making statements that were backed by historical references?
Obama should stop firing his supporters that felt that the Clintons are not playing fair and publicly expressed their frustration. Thus the playing ground is level and the Clinton's Whitehouse record is a fairplay because that was the basis for Hillary's claim of experience.
